As a PRN Care Tech - Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to our clients' employees at United Airlines located in our Health Center located in Tamuning, GU.
 

Schedule

  • PRN as Needed During Clinic Hours:
  • Clinic Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 7:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

What You’ll Do

  • Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
  • Performs routine CLIA waived laboratory tests, operates EKG and other diagnostic equipment, and collects specimens.
  • Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
  • Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
  • Assists with supply inventory
  • May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
  • Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
  • May require other duties as assigned.


What You’ll Bring

  • Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.  
  • CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.  
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Program training program (preferred).
  • Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
