About the role: The Data Governance & ODM Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and frameworks across Premise Health, ensuring data quality and consistency by overseeing the design and management of the operational data model, which serves as the foundation for data usage across systems and applications; this role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to establish data standards, monitor data quality, assign data ownership, and promote a culture of data stewardship within the company.


Essential Functions:  

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive data governance policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. 
  • Define data ownership and stewardship roles, assigning clear accountability for data quality and compliance.
  • Develop data quality metrics and monitoring processes to identify and address data issues proactively.
  • Design and maintain the operational data model, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across different systems and applications. 
  • Collaborate with data architects and engineers to implement the data model within the organization's data infrastructure.
  • Manage data lineage and mapping to track data flow and transformations across systems.
  • Educate and train stakeholders on data governance policies, standards, and data quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and align them with data governance principles. 
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams and business users regarding data management practices.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Implement data cleansing and remediation processes to address data quality issues. 
  • Develop and execute data quality improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Supports HIPAA, HITRUST, and other regulatory and compliance framework efforts
  • Participates in roadmap development for technology solutions supporting governance programs


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • CISA or CISSP certification
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT security/risk management and GRC (IT, healthcare, or federal sectors are pluses)
  • Experience evaluating and implementing large software packages to support GRC programs is preferred
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience


Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of emerging trends tools, methodologies and best practices in information technology and security (e.g., data catalogs, metadata management, data quality tools)
  • Knowledge of software implementation and project management
  • Knowledge of IT risk controls and compliance frameworks (e.g. SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST 800 series, ITIL)
  • Knowledge of risk management theory, industry best practices, and quality frameworks (e.g. ISO, Lean Six Sigma, CMMi and ITIL)
  • Knowledge of Information Security principles, policies, and practices; web application security; information controls and audit methodology for business systems and data processing environments
  • Working knowledge of industry governance frameworks
  • Strong working knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Exceptional written, presentation and oral communication skills
  • Ability to implement, scale, and optimize technology for governance programs
  • Ability to work with teams and management on complex projects
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly
  • Ability taking a concept from idea to completion

For individuals living in California, Colorado, Washington; as well as, for individuals living in or reporting to New York State only, Premise Health is required to include an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington and New York State compensation is $113,000 - $140,000 with eligible bonus opportunity.
