About the role: The role of the Pharmacy Analyst is to support the strategy and execution of data analytics for the pharmacy team related to client reporting, billing, finance, and operational reporting. This role will provide analysis to the utilization of pharmacy financial and operational data in collaboration with the Business Intelligence (BI) Team for the development of dashboards and reporting for the finance and pharmacy teams. The pharmacy analyst will specifically support the client billing process for pharmacy programs, feasibility opportunities, and other tasks as needed at the direction of the Pharmacy Data Program Manager or AVP Pharmacy Informatics and Integration.

Essential Functions:  

  • Responsible for developing and documenting business rules, business terminology, and requirements for pharmacy finance and operational reports and dashboards.
  • Serve as pharmacy analytics liaison to the Business Intelligence (BI) Team for matters related to analytics and reporting.
  • Understand and derive insights from complex pharmacy data sets (financial, clinical, and operational) for strategic and business planning purposes.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to pharmacy team related to analytics initiatives and enhancement.
  • Perform deep dives into available data to drive strategies for influencing clients.
  • May require other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Data analysis or a related field
  • Pharmacy billing/pharmacy claims analysis/PBM experience preferred
  • Proven Experience in writing queries in SQL - Microsoft SQL Server preferred
  • 1-2 years data visualization (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau) and process/system documentation experience
  • Experience providing technical expertise on data mining, and data cleansing.
  • Experience leading ongoing reviews of business processes, documentation of requirements, and developing optimization strategies.
  • Experience conducting meetings and presentations to effectively communicate ideas, insights, and findings.to cross functional team members and management
  • Exposure to Pharmacy Retail experience/knowledge preferred

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Working Knowledge of relational databases
  • Working Knowledge of Visio or other workflow documentation software
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A track record of following through on commitments, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication, detailed planning, and exemplary time management skills

For individuals living in California, Colorado, Washington; as well as, for individuals living in or reporting to New York State only, Premise Health is required to include an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington, and New York compensation is $80,000 - $90,000. Please note, this is a general guideline and your experience qualifications, geographic location, and other factors will be taken into consideration.
