The Director of Clinical Pharmacy is a professional who is responsible for executing clinical integration strategies to enhance the value of employer sponsored pharmacies and associated pharmacy services. This position leads and/or supports the expansion of pharmacy, pharmacy clinical initiatives, and wellness services while collaborating with the other physical or virtual Premise Health products such as Primary Care, Occupational Health, Physical Therapy, Fitness, and others as appropriate. The Director of Clinical Pharmacy is responsible for maximizing Premise Health’s pharmacy value proposition while creating business synergies for Premise’s core enterprise through clinical strategy integration with other business units.
This is a full time, remote Director of Clinical Pharmacy role.
What You'll Do
• Create and manage specialty pharmacy management programs.
• Create and manage high-cost patient management and intervention programs.
• Develop and support staff training for clinical programs.
• In conjunction with Medical Leadership, Lead and/or Support the expansion of the pharmacist role through the implementation of Collaborative Practice Agreements and/or similar procedures and workflows.
• Offer strategic oversight of pharmacy benefit design requests, pharmacy health and wellness programs, and all other related worksite synergies.
• In conjunction with Medical Leadership, drive operational excellence by providing clinical pharmacists with performance expectations, divisional goal metrics and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to Premise Health for clinical pharmacy programs, including but not limited to: developing appropriate workflows, templates, EPIC EHR documentation, and member engagement strategies.
• Responsible for coordinating the orientation and training of all new clinical pharmacists.
• Responsible for leading strategy and oversight of residency programs and academic partnerships.
• Lead communications associated with clinical pharmacy program best practices across all pharmacies and internal teams.
• Provide strategic support to the development of clinical pharmacy technology resources.
• Develop future pharmacy strategy and programs for continued enhanced client value.
• Serve as pharmacy subject matter expert for field operational oversight.
• Lead a team comprised of other clinical oversight roles, as appropriate.
• Development and execution of other clinical pharmacy initiatives, projects, or programs as appropriate.
What You'll Bring
• Pharmacy Degree
• At least 10+ years’ experience in pharmacy with a focus/interest in the employer health segment.
• Post-graduate residency preferred.
• Board certification (BCPS or BCACP) preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
• At least 2 years of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members.
• Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex pharmacy benefit issues.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop clinical pharmacy strategies that meet both client and divisional integration goals within budget(s) and established timelines.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy programs.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an Annual Performance Incentive that is a percentage of base salary and awarded based upon individual annual evaluation and company financial performance.
For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will be included in the company's Open Time Off plan and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
