Premise Health offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-driven career opportunities. We are currently looking for a PRN Phlebotomist to join our team in Countryside, IL.

About the role:

• Our employer health clinic is located near Midway Airport 
• Seeking someone that can work 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month; hours are 6:30am-12:00pm.
• Other PRN shifts as needed for PTO coverage.
• Must have strong phlebotomy skills, EPIC experience is a plus! 

Essential Functions: 

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA and LA)
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience

While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated IL compensation is $18.00 - $23.00.
