About the role: The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for operational, design, management and support of the organization’s infrastructure both private and public. This person will collaborate closely with cloud, application, and other teams to achieve organizational goals, while promoting and maintaining strong adherence to and enforcement of organizational policies and best practices.
Essential Functions:
- Design, manage, support, and implement infrastructure systems, services, and projects.
- Review and provide infrastructure-significant feedback on designs and proposed changes submitted by others within the organization.
- Frequently communicate and present technical data to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Frequently communicate with and present to upper management.
- Manage virtual environment, backup system, Windows and Linux systems
- Support in resolving infrastructure system related issues.
- Research new technology and assist in proof-of-concept testing.
- Document infrastructure system standards and processes.
- Contribute to design decisions for new technology or existing technology being used in a new way.
- Provide less experienced engineers with feedback and guidance on projects and career development.
- Strong understanding across various security, network, and cloud platforms.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired, not required.
- 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure systems in a hybrid environment.
- 5+ years of experiences supporting Windows and Linux systems.
- 8+ years of experience in IT (information technology), preferentially with maintaining, developing, or managing infrastructure systems experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of various technologies of infrastructure systems.
- Clear and skillful written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messaging for differing audiences.
- General knowledge and understanding of virtualization and server concepts and ideas.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems.
- Deep comprehension of troubleshooting tools and how to use them for problem resolution.
- General knowledge of automation tools to make infrastructure tasks more efficient.
- General knowledge of security, network, and cloud concepts.
- Ability to learn new and legacy technology.

While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington, and New York compensation is $100,000 - $126,000. Please note, this is a general guideline and your experience qualifications, geographic location, and other factors will be taken into consideration.
